Xavier Veilhan For Akonite

Handcrafted Ski Experience  is a set of 12 alpine skis born from the collaboration between Xavier Veilhan and Akonite.

Inside the series the ‘movement’ theme drove the project, and became an inspiration: the dripping – recent work of Xavier Veilhan – composed these twelve skis, each one being a detail of the finale view. Thin black fillets of paint drive the pendulum movement and gives a random experience. Regarding that, Xavier Veilhan says: « painting and its print are coming from the gravity and centrifugal force ».

Akonite realizes a true technical challenge with these skis composed with cellulose fiber, cork and several wood species. It’s a unique ecological creation and exceptional comfort, encouraging speed practice and liberty of movement.
