Emmanuel Bossuet
Emmanuel Bossuet is a graphic artist and artistic director.
An artist with a passion for decorative art and counter-culture, at a very early stage he chose industrial design and joined Thomson’s TimThom design studio at the end of the nineties.
Yet immersed in the fashion world and its young parisian scene, for which he was already designing patterns and prints, he never ceased to reconcile the apparent arbitrariness of style with the rigours of product design. This singular approach created a daring filiation to the great classical tradition.
Seeking to confront the immaterial with the most demanding savoir-faire and techniques, he applies himself to creating visual diversions close to abstraction. Erudite but precise, intentionally choosing an array of material, different levels of scenography mixing methods and codes from various creative fields, he builds up and improves through his projects a genuine decorative grammar : the visible statements of a renewed lifestyle fiction far from all mannerisms.
This creative vision which led him to situate his work beyond the strictly contemporary has been picked up by the international press and major luxury houses such as Cartier, Knoll, DeBeers, Lalique or Swarovski with whom he collaborates and develops special projects.
He is also since 2014, artistic Director of Maison Charles, a centenary workshop specialized in bronze casting of interior lightings and furnishing accessories.
