Born in 1956, Gille Pernet could have been a horse breeder (he owns two) or a clockmaker, almost naturals paths when born at the foot of Jura mountains. Self-taught, he becomes photograph when he was 20 years old. His passion for light and composition, especially those he admires in Klaes and Coorte Flemish painters from the seventeenth century, is the root of his interest in still-life. Since 1995 he had no longer exhibited his work, while producing regularly, but in the shade.
Contemporary art and architecture fine connoisseur, his researchs around the pixel lead him regularly to New York, capturing the night and the colors of the Big Apple. Since two years, he works on the serie Accademia, which combines bodies and classical painting, and experiments new medias, search as tapistery.
