"A concretion is the thickening by accumulation of material, often in successive layers, around a core. For this series I worked on Korean rice paper of an extreme fineness, which diffuses the ink in a specific way giving an almost living character to the painting. I only used black markers and the color is obtained by dilution. Seek refinement with great poverty of means. The forms are born organically around a core." - Alix Waline
